Restore rundll32.exe

Hello,

I can not delete programs via the control panel nor restoration nor my clock be put down right at the moment because

"rundll32.exe not found

I have the copy for the rundll32.exe, but what are the folders where I have to reinstall

I think it's in C:\Windows\system32 ?

Did you try running sfc?(System File Checker)

This will replace missing or corrupt system files from the CD - so you'll need to have that handy. Just Start\Run\sfc

At the prompt in the command window, type the text in bold.

expand C:\i386\rundll32.ex_ %windir%\system32\rundll32.exe

You should be able to cut and paste the text in bold above into the command window.

then if this works reboot and try as before:

Click start select run and enter the text in bold

appwiz.cpl

click OK to start. Any success?

Check if you find a copy of rundll32.exe in the folder C:\windows\system32\dllcache or in C:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386. If this is the case, go ahead and copy rundll32.exe to the system folder C:\windows\system32

If you don't find a copy on your system, you can try to find the file on your windows installation disks. Lastly, you could simply re-install windows. However, this would be very time-consuming and you might lose all your data. So this would be the last resort.
