Can't Install Lifecam Software

hi,
i can't install Lifecam Software.i followed all the instruction given in the set up wizard but the problem occur after completing two to three step, Next button is grayed out and I can't continue the setup, the only option left for me is to cancel.What has happened and what is the solution?Can anyone help!!!

I guess you did a "Repair Install" by doing that. Did you have to install a whole bunch of updates afterwards?
I wonder if doing an sfc /scannow would have achieved the same thing?

Vista 32 and 64 should recognize and install this hardware without the installation disc. If your computer is not recognizing and installing the Lifecam when it is plugged in there is something wrong with the unit or your computer.The Microsoft software is useless anyway, no surprise there. Presumably you are going to use Skype or something of its sort, and that software will allow you to test the Lifecam, take snapshots or do what you like.

The entries that the "install" places in the registry, should be found in the .inf file the camera install uses. If the registry is not being saved at shutdown due to corruption or other reason, then the entries will not be there after startup.
