Unable to uninstall windows live messenger 8.1

Hello people,
I can't uninstall Windows Live Messenger 8.1. I want to update my Windows Live Messenger to 8.5. Can anyone help me?

Click on Start, then go to All programs. Next search for Windows Live messenger which you want to uninstall. Then you will see a little arrow, move your cursor on it and there it will say uninstall Windows Live Messanger, just click on it.

Try this:

• Go to Start
• Click on Run
• Paste following in the box: msiexec /x {B1403D7D-C725-4858-AACC-7E5FA2D72859}
• Follow the steps.

Delete the old keys in registry. You can use any Registry Cleaner or follow these steps:

• Open start menu
• Click Run
• Type regedit
• Browse:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSN or Windows Live Messenger\Current Version\Run

• Check this for any MSN messenger keys and Delete it
