Can't open Outlook 2007 in Vista

Hey Guys,

I had installed Windows Vista along with Outlook 2007 on my system. Earlier my Outlook 2007 used to work properly but from last few days it has started giving some problem to me. The problem is that now i'm unable to open Outlook 2007 on my system. I tried to uninstall, as well as tried to reinstall it back on my system but it doesn't worked out for me. Can any body help me out to get rid of this problem? Would be grateful to you if any body helps me out.

First thing to try is go to Control Panel and then in the search box type "Add" then select the option "Add or remove programs". Once this window has populated it's list, find "Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007" or Professional (or whatever he has bought ) and then click Change. Another window will open with three options; Add or Remove Features, Repair, or Remove. First try selecting Repair, then click Continue. This should sort out any issues that Outlook is having with starting up.

You can do this by going to Tools-->Options-->Other-->Advanced Options-->COM Add-Ins-->Add then browse to C:\Program Files\SmarterTools\SmarterMail Sync\Outlook and load SmarterMailSyncShim.dll. Then exit and restart Outlook.

Hold the Windows Key (The key with the windows symbol on it) and press R . It should open a window that reads "Run"

Type "Outlook /safe" (without the quotes) and Click [OK]

See if this works. If it does, then it could be a plugin else, there are other things we could check.
