Active desktop background in group policy based on web

Hi everybody,

I wonder if it is possible to install using a GPO over windows 2003 server an active desktop over a LAN of 1000 PC's installed. The Active Desktop is based on web background and I'd like to know if I could adjust to right corner of screen this active desktop just editing some registers of Windows or something like that.

The target is to automatize the process all over the red and don't involucrate anyone of the client users.

Sure i will help you out with this try to follow the below steps:-

1. Copy the wallpaper to a central location on which every user has at least the permission to read files or deploy the file via the Login-Script to the workstations to a fixed location.
   
2. Use regedit with the '-s' parameter to set the needed registry settings within the HKEY_CURRENT_USER-hive.
   
3. Copy the following text between the hyphens to a text-file, adjust the path to the file, replace the .txt extension with .reg and store it somewhere in the NETLOGON-share on the server.
   
4. Use 'regedit -s PATH\YOUR_FILENAME.reg' to deploy the setting via the login script.

Thanks for your reply, thanks. I mean the ActiveDesktop based on web background. Just as IE but as desktop background. Perhaps I don't understand you as well as you supose, sorry.
