Problem with Daemon Tools on Vista

    Hello everyone,

I'd like to install a program (Visual Studio) which is in the form .Iso (image) by converting it via CD/DVD emulator that is Daemon Tools.

So I downloaded and installed Daemon Tools. The installation seems to have worked. But when I click on the Daemon Tools icon on my desktop, nothing happens. And when I right click then open with DT on my file .Iso I get an error message that says error in command line.

Someone he knows what went wrong?

    Thank you in advance

Hi Winrar will allow you to recover your files in the iso and after that you no longer need to deal with deamon tools. 7zip can read iso images and it's free!.

DAEMON Tools Lite has a Left Click Interface for convenient access to the most common functions. Simply left-click on the DAEMON Tools Lite tray icon to access it.

You can access to this menu by right clicking on the DAEMON Tools Lite icon in tray also.

    • DAEMON Tools Panel - show the DAEMON Tools Panel. Changes to Hide Panel if Panel is shown
    • Virtual CD/DVD-ROM - change DAEMON Tools virtual device parameters such as drive count and drive specific information, mounts/unmounts images
    • Preferences - change DAEMON Tools Lite program settings.
    • Web Resources - links to DAEMON Tools related web sites.
    • Send Feedback - links to DAEMON Tools Lite feedback forms for various purposes.
    • Help - links to DAEMON Tools Lite online help.
    • Exit - closes the DAEMON Tools Panel and Tray Application.

To Mount an ISO image in Deamon Tools:

    • Right click that "lightning bolt" icon in tray, left click "VIRTUAL CD/DVD-ROM". Then left click "Device 0: [*Letter*] No media", then left click "Mount image".

    • Then on the screen that pops up, navigate to where your ISO file is to mount it to the virtual drive. When you find it, click it once then click the "Open" button.

    • After clicking the "Open" button, it will act just like you put a DVD in.
