Windows live messenger error 80048820 and extended 80048416 error

Hello friends,
I am trying to login to msn messenger but its not letting me to get in. It shows the following error:

Error Code: 80048820
Extended Error Code: 80048416

Can anybody tell me how to fix it?

The MSN Messenger error 80048820 is usually caused by an incorrect clock/date setting so be sure to check your system's clock and calendar. Ensure that the AM or PM is set correctly as well as the year. Often the time will be correct but the year will not be. If you use Windows XP, you can automatically correct the time by clicking the "Internet Time" tab, next click the "Update Now" button.

The problem occurs is caused by the incorrect Microsoft Internet Explorer SSL settings. In Internet Explorer, clear the Check for Server certificate revocation check box. To do this, follow these steps:

• Start Internet Explorer
• Click on the Tools menu
• Click Internet Option
• Go to Advanced tab
• Under “Security” section, uncheck the server certificate revocation check box
• Click OK
• Exit Internet Explorer

Try to sign in to messenger again. Hope it works.
