Cannot add contacts to msn messenger

Hello friends,
I use msn messenger to keep connected to my friends. But when i tried to add contact to my list, nothing happens. Can anyone have solution for this?

You can try webmessenger for a while. You can only add upto 150 contacts. Check your contact list. If it is full, then open new account and start adding again.

If your contact list is empty or incomplete after you upgrade to Windows Live Messenger, the cached contact list may not have updated correctly. You can try and delete Contacts cache folder. But before you can delete your Contacts cache folder, make sure you can view your complete folder list in Windows Explorer.

Here is solution for your problem. Delete you handshaking policy cache by following steps given below:

• Exit Messenger completely (Exit Messenger tray icon)
• Click Start button
• Then Click Run
• Type regedit and press Enter (to open Registry Editor)
• Browse following: (Messenger 8.0)

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger

• Then remove the following subkeys: Policies
• Close your registry editor and restart Messenger

To add contacts to msn messenger you have to do the following, first you have to open your MSN Messenger. Then you have to go to the "Show Menu" and select on it. A drop-down menu will come into view. Then you choose the "Contacts" and start add a contact. A new window will come into view. Fill in the information in sequent you know regarding the person, this will contain their IM address and email address. After that you have to select the button to add the contact after you have finished all the information in sequent and your contact will come into view on your list of contacts. If you do not have an email or IM address you can find it by contacts. In this way you can add all the contacts in your MSN Messenger.
