As In i use many software for recovering files....
But The best i feel for it is as follows:
File Scavenger and Partition Recovery.

You also might can use Recovery My Files This scans your PC, but you have to pay for it to get files back on your system. But when I scanned it on mine, it found files, but I couldn't open / preview them with out paying first.
