Microsoft Office 2007 - "group by date"

    Hey everyone.

I cant seem to group my outlook mesages by date?
It has the option for recieved - which is date\time and if I group this it puts each message in a seperate group because the mesages are not recieved at the same date\time.

I tryed to create my own field called date and set it to use the date format 2009\03\17 but the field just shows "none".

Thanks for your help in advance!!

    try this
Click on View, Arrange By, Custom, select Group By, and from the drop-down select Received.

To enable grouping on a folder, click on the row of field names at the top of the message list and choose Show in groups from the bottom of the menu. (This will enable only for the current folder.)

You can use this method to change a default view for each folder using the view. Because Outlook often creates 'one-off' views when you change a current view, you need to use cleanviews to remove all custom views before starting.

You may need to apply a different view to a folder then apply this one for it to take affect.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback. But as explained previously, the recieved field uses a date and time format. So if i group by recieved, it creates a group for the date and time, and i just want it grouped by date.

    Thanks again!!
