Hi guys,

before there are any comments like "look there or there",
i have to say, that i've read them!
example this one Solutions for Most Common Windows Live Messenger (MSN Messenger) Error Codes

But the discription of fixing this error doesn't work.
I've reinstalled everything but i still get this error....
and most strange thing is, that i can log in with EVERY account but not with mine... i've tried another version of msn (the one which is installed with windows) and with this old version it works..

I hope anyone knows how to fix that error

Completely uninstall Messenger. Make sure there are no remnant files or folders.

Then go to Start, Run and type in %temp% and then OK. (Not sure if that shortcut works on 2000, but it should. If not, manually go to your temp folder)

Delete everything in the folder, then reinstall Messenger.

If for some reason it won't let you delete some files, do so in Safe Mode, or failing that, use something like MoveOnBoot or Pocket KillBox.

I've been experiencing the exact same problem for the past week, I tried deleting and reinstalling MSN twice now, but nothing seems to work. My other accounts will log in just fine, just my main email won't let me sign in. Legendary49, did you ever fix the problem? what did you do?
I tried downloading MDAC, but I'm not really sure how to use this.

exactly the same thing happening here... has been doing this for a couple weeks now, all my other msn's work fine and this one logs on perfectly on my phone. i can't see any reason why it wouldn't be working?

I Have the exact same problem. nothing seems to help. though I can log in with all other adresses

I'm not getting a new computer :p

I uninstalled and deleted WLM, and installed a new version, and it's still not working. I did make sure everything from the 'old' version was deleted.. ahh well I'm giving up, ebuddy is the solution,, for now

haaaa no i didnt get one because of it. but it did stop it being a problem lol
