Printing Problem With Firefox in Windows Xp

Hello , My Pc Has windows XP installed with firefox version 3.0.6 and when printing web page via the print button the actuall prints Has some characters bizares. I have seen the same problem with print (which eliminates the printer) on pages just loaded. The problem is corrected by remaining a little longer on the page before printing. Users are always in a hurry as the others, how can I fix this problem? I tried an update of flash player, and nothing makes the encoding of pages in the menu display is in Unicode UTF8. Please Help solve this Problem

Hello, Got this One From Firefox Forum
Troubleshooting: Disabled styles (using Web Developer toolbar), and did a print preview. Lines were not being chopped off and pages appeared correctly in print preview. Checked stylesheet and noticed that the body had a negative top setting (ie. body {top:-11px}). Someone had set this so that there was no white space above our banner in the browser, but Firefox applied it during printing and therefore our content was being bumped up out of the page when printing, cutting off part of the first line.

Solution: Created a stylesheet for printing which took out the negative top setting. Pages printed OK in Firefox. Lines were not chopped off.

Suggestion: Check your stylesheets to see if you have a negative top setting or perhaps your margins and/or paddings are causing content to go out of the print area.

This problem occurs generally only with pages heavily laid out with images. Comparing Internet Explorer, the very same pages are printed without error with the same printer PDF Creator. Apparently there seems to be some weakness with memory management in the printing process, which obviously appears just in the combination Windows XP / Firefox.exe / PDFcreator.exe.

Hello, you can Try this Instead of directly using 'Print...' from the 'File' menu, go to 'Print Preview' and then print by clicking on the 'Print...' button at the top of the page.

Hello , You can try controlling the page margins and page breaks with CSS. I've not tested whether this would help solve this particular cut-off problem,Basically, if you can divide your table into smaller tables which will fit on a standard page, you might be about to work around the issue

Hello, Printing to Adobe PDF Writer produces garbled text in Firefox 3 (but not Firefox 2). Firefox 3 also prints garbled text with some printers using older printer drivers (examples are illustrated here). Related bug reports include:
