Cannot Remove Avira Antivirus

Hi , I Have recently Download Latest Version of Avg and updated it and Currently it is Working Fine , But Before that I Had Avira Antivir Installed in my Pc , so When i Tried to uninstall it I Cannot remove It .Can you please Help me Solve This Problem Thanks in Advance

Hello , I Would try having it reinstall the Avira program once more and then try uninstalling it again. Perhaps something became corrupted on the first attempt at removing it Hope it Help you

Hello You Can try to delete the registry keys and the AntiVir folder under Program Files or Better you canuse the CCleaner that can clean the registry keys/values left by antivir. Hope it Help You

Hello You can Try running RegCleaner and remove all Avira, H+BEDV or AntiVir entries

You also need to delete the AntiVir directory from Program files, the shortcut on your desktop and the Startup Programs folder.

Also, you can manually delete these entries from Registry:

To uninstall Avira AntiVir Personal (e.g. in Windows XP and Windows Vista):

1. Open the Control Panel via the Windows Start menu.
   
2. Double click on Software (Windows Vista: Program files).
   
3. Select Avira AntiVir Personal and clickRemove.
   
4. You will be asked if you really want to remove the program.
   
5. Click Yes to confirm.
   
6. All components of the program are removed.
   
7. Click on Finish to complete uninstallation.
   
8. Where appropriate, a dialog box appears recommending that your computer be restarted.
   
9. Click Yes to confirm.

I assume that you tried to uninstall it from the add and remove .
Now you can download and install the Revo uninstaller . It will completely uninstall the Avira antivirus from your computer. ie from the registry as well .
