Problem with Exchange 2003 Trial Version

    hello

I recently installed a trial version of exchange 2003 on my home 2003 server. This is suppose to be a 120 day trial but few days back i recieved a message from internet that a full version patch is available. i downloaded it and run the exchange 2003 and now it is not running. I uninstalled the patch and tried again and it is not happening. I again downloaded trial pack and installation doesnot take place.

    Please help me

Sticking where you say it did denotes a network problem; either physical card, DNS, WINS or IP settings. Do a check and make sure that everything is set perfectly and that there is no "could not find domain blah" message indicating said network problems.

Put those services back to the logon they should be at. Exchange 2000/2003 does not use a specific account to start the service(s)

Re: Problem with Exchange 2003 Trial Version

I think that it is potentially a mistake on Microsoft's part. We saw a significant number of customers wait longer than they would have liked to go to Exchange 2000 because of the Active Directory requirement [in Windows 2000]," said Michael Cocanower, president of ITSynergy, Phoenix. "To say the Exchange 2000 won't run on Windows Server 2003 delays product adoption. Having said that, however, I think there are significant feature enhancements and additions in Titanium. I have a lot of customers that are very interested in that functionality, so maybe that balances out any other barriers to Windows Server 2003 adoption

couple of things, first is see what services are set to automatic for Exchange and see if any of them are not running. The next would be to try and reboot the server. Also, what exchange 2003 service pack are you running on that server, or have you applied them yet?

any mailboxes on the server yet, besides the system attentdant one? you have a couple of options, one is uninstalling it if no mailboxes were on it, the other would be to troubleshoot the issue further. I have run into this in the past and just had a flaky installation, and onced i reinstalled, or did a repair from the Exchange cd, it went away.
