Thumbs.db files shown in all folders

    Hey guys!
I have Windows XP installed in my computer, i had a lot of virus issues so turned this feature OFF : Hide system files and setting.
Now there is a file names "thumbs.db" in almost all the folders. When i scan it with antivirus software, it shows "No threats detected". Which file is this and how do i delete this permanently? When i delete this file, it comes back again!
    Worried! Please help!

    Hey guys!
Even i have the same issue. I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit. Even i see these files in all the folder since the day i installed Vista and changed the view settings to show all files. Is this a virus? I hope not otherwise the antivirus would have detected it...!
    Please help!

Its not a virus. Its a Thumbnails database file. Whenever you open a folder with Thumbnail view, it creates the thumbs.db file for that folder. Its not a virus so no need to worry about it...! This file stands for It stands for THUMBnail DataBase.
