Microsoft Word allows you to insert graphics anywhere on your page. It also allows you to adjust the size and placement of the graphic, as well as the position of the text in relation to the graphic. Insert graphics saved from outside sources, those from Microsoft Word's clip-art files, and images captured by a scanner or digital camera while the electronic device is connected to the computer.

1> Position your cursor at your desired insertion point within the text. Left click once.

2>Click on the "View" menu located in the top menu bar on your screen. This opens the menu's drop-down list.

3> Position your cursor over the "Picture" option and click to open the list of picture insertion options. Your options are to insert a picture from a file, from Microsoft Word's clip-art gallery, or from a camera or scanner.

4> Insert a picture from Word's clip-art gallery by clicking on "Clip art." A box appears giving you access to the clip-art gallery and allowing you to search for your desired graphic. Once you locate the graphic you want to insert, click on it. The graphic then appears in your Word document at your selected insertion point.

5> Select a picture from your own gallery of art or photos by clicking on "From file." The program automatically opens "My pictures." This default is changed when you insert pictures into Word from a different location in your computer's directory. Find the graphic you want from within your computer files click on it. The graphic appears in your document along with the resizing tool.

6> Access pictures directly from your scanner or camera while the device is connected to the computer. This option is not activated unless there is a scanner or camera connected. To access and insert a graphic this way, click on "From scanner or camera." Microsoft Word brings up thumbnail images of the graphics available for insertion. Click on the picture you want to insert. It appears at the insertion point in your Word document.

7> Resize the graphic or reposition it within the Word document by clicking on the picture to activate the graphics tool. The graphics tool allows you to manipulate the photo's size and placement on the page.

Re: How to insert graphics in Word Document?

Inserting graphics and clip art in the Word can be frustrating when it comes to repositioning them. However, knowing some useful tricks you can make this easily
    - Once you insert clip art into your word document, the Picture toolbar will appear.
-If it does not appear, click View, point to Toolbars, and select Picture. You can change the way the image appears with the text by using the Text Wrapping button. For example, if you want the text to wrap around the image, select Square or Tight.
-You can then move your image by pointing to the graphic until the four-headed arrow appears.
-Hold down your mouse button and drag the image to where you want it located.
-You can also use the Rotate Left button on the Picture toolbar to rotate your graphic.
-Once you have access to the Picture toolbar, you have the necessary tools to place the graphic exactly where you want it. Experiment with clipart and the Picture toolbar.

This is so far the best way to become expert in MS-Word
