    Re: Problem while installing Flash

If you have problems installing Adobe Flash Player, follow the troubleshooting steps below.

    1. Uninstall all previous versions.

    2. Download Adobe Flash Player.

    3. Troubleshoot Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer.

Before installing Flash Player, please check the following browser settings:

    Internet Explorer ActiveX settings

Browser security settings should be chosen by you or by your system administrator. For single users who do not have an administrator, the Medium: Default Level allows you to view Flash content. For any Custom Level, ensure that both the "Download Signed ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" options are set to "Prompt".

    To change your security level:

    • 1. Open Internet Explorer.
    • 2. Choose Tools--> Internet Options.
    • 3. Select the Security tab.
    • 4. Select Custom Level.
    • 5. Find the section "ActiveX controls and plug-ins".
    • 6. Set ' Download Signed ActiveX Controls' to Prompt.
    • 7. Set 'Run ActiveX Controls And Plug-ins' to Prompt.

If you are having trouble installing, make sure that your Internet Explorer security level is not set to High or to a custom level that does not allow viewing of ActiveX controls.

    Re: Problem while installing Flash

I've had the same problem couple of times. Go to your c:/windows/system32/macromedia/flash and delete everything inside of it . Tab to Internet options under tools , Go to ad-ones Disable your Flash OCX object (delete recommended) Go to adoble flash website do an express installation online of Flash player, If didn't work Restore your Internet Configuration to Default and reinstall Flash player. Hope so it may work out for you.

    Re: Problem while installing Flash

To resolve the issue follow the below steps.

    1) Verify that Adobe (or Macromedia) Flash Player is installed:
    • Click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel.

    • Microsoft Windows Vista: Click Programs and then Programs and Features.
    • Microsoft Windows XP: Double-click Add or Remove Programs.

    • Scan the list and check if either the Adobe Flash Player 8 or 9 or the Macromedia Flash Player 8 is installed.
    • If either is listed, skip to step 3.

    2) If Adobe Flash Player 8 or 9 isn't listed, install Adobe Flash Player 9:
    • Refer to Adobe's website for a list of Flash Player versions available for download.
    • Click Flash Player 9 to download to the Desktop and click Save.
    • Click the Save in drop-down arrow and then click Desktop.
    • Click the Create New Folder icon and name the folder Flash 9.
    • Double-click the Flash 9 folder and click Save.
    • Click Open Folder and double-click the fp9_archive.zip file.
    • Click Extract and double-click the Flash 9 folder created in 2nd step.
    • Click Extract and close the WinZip or Extraction Wizard window after the extraction is complete.
    • From the Desktop double-click Flash fp9_archive folder and double-click.
    • Double-click flashplayer9r124_winax.exe to install.

    3) Use the quickbooks.msi installer to install QuickBooks:
    • Insert the QuickBooks CD into the CD drive.

Note: For Downloaded programs the QuickBooks.MSI file can be found by going to Start >Run >%temp%>quickbooks finanacial software>qbooks>quickbooks.msi
    • If the installation starts automatically, click Quit to exit the installation.
    • On the desktop, double-click the My Computer icon (or click the Start button and choose My Computer).
    • Right-click the CD drive and select Explore.
    • Browse to the QBooks folder on the CD.
    • Double-click the QuickBooks.msi icon and follow the onscreen instructions to install QuickBooks as you normally would .
