How to get rid of Windows XP Messenger pop-ups

Hi friends,

I am getting pop up from messenger service.It's just keep coming up all the time.I am also having a popup blocker but it doesn't work with this issue. Can anyone provide me with a good solution for it.

Try to follow this steps and hope it will work for you.

1. Double-click on the Network Connections icon in your Control Panel.
   
2. In the Network Connections window, click to highlight the connection you want to protect. In the left panel, under Network Tasks, click on change settings of this connection.
   
3. When the connection status dialog box opens, click on Properties button.
   
4. In the Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
   
5. Check the box Internet Connection Firewall. If you leave it unchecked, the firewall is off.
   
6. Click OK.

Thanks for your reply it's not working and for more information i am running Web server.

If you are using web Server you need to follow the below steps and i am sure it will work for you.

1. Right-click My Computer and click Manage.
2. Click Services and Applications.
3. Click on Services.
4. Scroll down to Messenger and right-click on it.
5. Now click on stop the Service.
6. Select on Disable as the Startup Type.
7. Finally click on OK.
