    Visual Studio 2008 installation fails

    I try to install Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 but I could not! I am running Windows Vista SP1, I am the administrator of my HP PC. Here is the error message that appears:

    Installation failed.
    Use the links below to identify the cause of failure:
    Moreover, I am unable to install IIS! The installation starts, my pc restarts and when I returned to the programs, IIS is not checked. Why does my Visual Studio 2008 installation fails?

    First and foremost see to it you have all software up-to-date and also do Windows Update. This kind of problems occurs quiet often when your Windows is not up-to-date. And by the way, did you checked if you have installed Microsoft .NET Framework v3.5? Certainly, Visual Studio 2008 requires NET Framework v3.5 to be fully functional.

    In fact I did plenty of testing. When I run the install after installing the v3.5 framework, I get this error log:

    It seems to be corrupted file. You can download the free version that will ask you fewer worries: http://www.microsoft.com/Express/
