Free program to burn data dvd's or backup files to dvd disc

Hello Everybody,

I would like to have a good program which can backup my files and convert them in to DVD. Is there any free program which can allow me to do so? However, i used Nero but it's not free, but you can get it on a free trial versions
with your DVD burner when you buy it. Does any one have any idea about it how can i do so? Any help on it would be appreciated.
