LG USB Stick does not work on new Vista Ultimate

I bought a new asus laptop P5 with Vista home. She also bought a LG Chocolat Pen drive (usb stick) of 2GB, the stick does not work in Vista, on XP there is no problem. I get the following error when i connect the usb stick to my laptop :

"The hardware ID is missing. Windows can not identify the device connected to usb mass storage device."

Everything is brand new, I even reformatted the usb drive in Windows XP, still no luck.
Can anyone post me a suggestion?

    Thanks

Every hardware has a unique harware id. If Windows says hardware id is missing, it is a serious problem. install drivers for your usb stick. This is a whole new issue. every usb stick is automatically recognised by windows xp and higher version of windows. If you don't get the drivers for vista you need to talk to the LG service center. May be they could help.

Hardware ID is one of the most important property of any hardware to function. Check if the device has the hardware id from windows xp. If it does, then you definitely need to talk to the LG Service Center. Never heard of any issues yet! If you find a solution, post here!
    All the Best!
