Try this. Close WLM. Go to Hotmail on the web, and clean out all the folders. If you want to save any messages, create a new folder and move those messages to the new folder. Empty the thrash also. Remember that when you restart WLM, it will try to sync with the new folder status on the web, so be sure you have moved any important email to a storage folder.

Re: Error ID:0x80048820

That did not work for me. I was getting this error from Windows Live Mail:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (nandajo2u) account. Sorry, we were unable to sign you in to Windows Live ID at this time. Please try again later.

Server Error: 0x80048820
Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048820

I changed my server options for my hotmail account from HTTP to POP3 and it works fine now.

Re: Error ID:0x80048820

Not clear if this worked for me or not. When I logged into Hotmail on the web, I discovered I had an email account lodged into Firefox. I told Firefox to forget about this email account, and then logged in to my true Hotmail account, after which I proceeded to clean out all my folders and empty the trash. Then I tried to connect to Hotmail via Windows Live Mail and everything worked. However, based on the fact that my Hotmail account worked when I deleted it and re-added it to Windows Live Mail, I think it's more likely the problem was resolved by telling Firefox to forget about the other email account.

Thanks for the suggestion.
