    Error loading ffdshow.ax

    Hi,
On vista x64 i have installed 64-bit FFDSHOW Codecs but when i double clicks on shortcut icon ffdshow crashes, and the ffdshow icons don't appear when (trying) to play videos in WMP/Media Center. And getting "Error loading ffdshow.ax" error.
    Any help !

The program has been corrupted, try to uninstall it and then download K-Lite Code Pack or Divx.

I was facing same problem with 64-bit FFDSHOW and found solution of installing Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package for x64.

Once you've installed these redistributables, you'll need to reinstall the ffdshow codec pack (or else the program will run, but no dialog box will be displayed). After that you shouldn't have any problems running ffdshow configuration utilities or playing videos in WMP/Media Center!

If you uninstalled an older version of my pack and then installed a newer version without rebooting first that can happen.

When you uninstall the codec pack it sets files that were in use to be deleted when the system reboots, installing the new pack does not cancel that process.
