Mp3 file downloads in unknown format

I guys i've purchased Fruti loops software. now when i download its sample files which are mp3 files, they download in some wierd format. The file name appears like : "smp00000204" How to i make this file as simple mp3 format? Please help guys, i cannot record any music without the sample files.

I guess your computer is infected by some kind of virus. Try scanning your computer with fully updated anti-virus. try downloading your sample files from some other site. if nothing works try system restore to a earlier time and then again try downling those sample files!! Might help you...!

It doesn't seem to be a virus problem because it is being downloaded that way! If the virus had been affecting the files they would first appear as a proper mp3 file then after rebooting or after sometime the files would get corrupt. You can try changing the extension to mp3 if it has some other extension or add the extension mp3 if it doesn't have one! All the best! Drop me a line if this works, cause i never had such an issue!

Your Genius Rudra!! I just added ".mp3" extensions to the files and there it goes! my file works as healthy as before! I was pretty scared as i too started thinking about the virus and stuff! thanks man! Thanks a lot for your quick reply!
