When i installed the beta version of Windows 7 to test it I made a big mistake which format my disk with all my data that are highly important. now i wanted to know if someone had already managed to recover data after formatting.

Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!
If you have not written new files to this formatted partition, you can recover files from it. Yes, Recuva is good software to recover deleted files, but it is not fit for recovering from formatted partition or lost partition.
I found a $69.95 commercial software for beta and downloaded from easeus-software.com/drw-beta/, I've tried it, it can recover files even if you deleted the files from Recycle Bin, formatted the partition, the partition lost, partition became RAW, partition cannot be accessed, etc.
