| PDF document will not display in browser
this is not with all PDFs, which is why I can't figure out why certain ones from certain sites will not display. I was reading about add-ons and how they can affect they way files are displayed. Are there specific add-ons I should be looking for? What else should I look for? I am running windows xp, IE 6 and Reader 9. |

Which menu are you referring to? I can't find anything like that in either IE6 or Reader 9. |

I've already done what Thomas321 suggested as I stated in my original post. With the button for display in browser checked or not, either way it doesn't work. |

| Re: PDF document will not display in browser
Try disabling the "View In Browser" or "Web Browser Integration" feature in your Adobe Acrobat viewer (for plug-in and standard version). Doing this will force your Acrobat viewer to display PDF outside your browser in a separate window. In most cases this will fix your problem. |

| Re: PDF document will not display in browser
I have had a similar problem and did the following: disabled the "Display PDF In Browser" in >> Edit >> Preferences >> Internet. However, this is all very well for my personal viewing. But, I have a website whereby other users have the same problem and it seems extreme to ask all users to do the same thing. Isn't there anything which can be done globally - to affect all other users' display problems? e.g. to the PDF when first created, or in HTTP headers etc? I have also noticed that most PDFs open OK on our site, except for the ones which are listed from an Oracle database. anyone have any suggestions..? |
