Try to login to the Admin account and do some cleaning with help of CCleaner. Once you have everything removed, including leftover files and entries, then try to reinstall while still logged on as the Admin. Hopefully this will work for you!

    Thanks for the reply

I've tried logging in as Administrator and I got the same error. Any other ideas?

    Try this
    • Choose Start > Control Panel (Windows XP) or Start > Settings > Control Panel (Windows 2000).
    • Double-click Add Or Remove Programs.
    • Select Adobe Acrobat [version] and click Remove.
    • When prompted, confirm that you want to remove Acrobat.
    • Repeat the above procedure for all installed versions of Acrobat.
    • Restart the computer, and then reinstall Acrobat.

Use anti-virus software, such as McAfee VirusScan, to check your system for viruses. Make sure that you have the latest virus definitions for the anti-virus software you use.
