How to attach lyrics of a song to its mp3 file?

Hi,
I want to know that how can i attach the lyrics of a song o its mp3 or whatever the file format is & this will help me in windows media player to view lyrics while listening the song.
I have some mp3 files which display the lyrics while i play them in media player but not for all music so i want to know is there anyway to do this?

Your mp3 software has to be able to attach the Lyrics metadata tag to the file. For example, iTunes's Get Info function will allow you to view the Artist, Title, Album data of a selected song and/or edit them; there is a tab on the Get Info window that will allow you to enter lyrics and other "metadata".

depends on the music program you use

I use foobar and most configs use a lyrics plugin that retrieves lyrics from gracenote (i think) once downloaded once they are saved against that track and are viewable whenever you play the track again

i havent seen the option in WMP11 and cant remember the option in Media Monkey or WinAmp (I could be wrong here)

For windows Media player:

Right click on the song in your Library > Advanced Tag Editor > Lyrics tab > Paste lyrics in there.

In WMP you can synchronize lyrics with the song file which might be more what your after.

You can use mp3Tag Pro to do that. It can dowload lyrics from Internet databases, you need just to enter a song's name. You can also download covers and edit ID3 tags.
