Disable Auto launch Yahoo messenger in Windows xp

Hello , I have a windows xp computer with 2gb ram , I have downloaded and installed Yahoo Messenger to chat with my friend , but the problem is that the yahoo messenger pops every time I start Windows. i do not want it auto launch in my computer , please tell me how can i disable the auto launch of yahoo messenger , please help me thanks in advance

After the installation of Yahoo! Messenger , it starts automatically at computer startup. if you want to avoid this, open the yahoo messenger software, then go to the Connect menu and click Preferences. In the window that opens, uncheck the first box, Automatically start Yahoo! Messenger. Click the OK button to confirm.

Some programs can interfere with the operation of your computer or your Internet connection. If the application launches automatically when Windows starts without your intervention, it may be useful to disable it. for this goto Start Menu => then Select the Run Dialog Box => and type "msconfig" => choose what you want to remove from the list

To disable the automatic launching of an application,

1. click the "Start" button located in the "Taskbar" Windows, select "Settings," then "Taskbar and Start menu ...".
   
   
2. The "Properties Taskbar and Start Menu" opens, go to the "Advanced" tab and click on "Advanced ...".
   
   
3. In the window that opens Windows Explorer, double-click on "Programs" then "Start".
   
   
4. On the right side of the window, icons for each of the applications that launch at startup appear.
   
   
5. With your mouse, select those you want to disable and then go to the File menu and click "Remove."
   
   
6. Windows will ask you to confirm the deletion. Click "Yes".
   
   
7. To validate the changes you made, close all windows and restart the PC.
   
   
8. At the next reboot, the application that you removed the group "Start" will not launch
