Word 2007 hangs

hi,
i recently installed word 2007 on my pc. we have small network of 5 computer in my office. Word 2007 have function OK until yesterday. All
Office programs open and perform fine, but Word 2007 consistently freezes when i try to save word file,it hangs.it gives the message "Contacting Program Files..." Press Esc to Escape.i dont know how to fix this.

What has happened and what is the solution?Can anyone help!!!

i had also same problem,it happens when we move from another aplication to a Word window,I found the "options" section at the bottom of the menu that pops up after clicking on the Office Button. I looked at all of them and ended up noticing that I had some add-in that I knew nothing about. I disabled it and the hanging and stalling is gone.

Word 2007 has some differences, such asnormal.dotm, instead of normal.dot, and the data key being located here:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\W ord\Data.or try to reinstall word 2007 from here.Problems closing Word are very similar in cause to problems opening Word.Usual culprits are:

1. Corrupted normal.dotm.

2. Corrupted registry entries.

3. Misbehaving add-ins.
