Modification of an element of the register

I'm receiving a message from Spybot-Search and destroy as follows:
Spybot Search and Destroy has detected an important part of the registry has been changed.
Category: System Startup global entry.
Change: Value change.
Item: Quick Time Task
Old Value: "C: / Program Files / Quicktime / QTTask.exe"
New Value: "C: / Program Files / QuickTime / qttask.exe"
I do not understand this message, especially to my knowledge, I have touched on anything resembling this story. Thank you for helping me get rid of that thing and happy new year to all.

Re: Modification of an element of the register

If you receive this type of warning from Spybot Search & Destroy, is that the tool "Tea Timer" is activated.
Inasmuch as you do not need, disabling occurs as follows:
- In the left pane of Spybot Search & Destroy, click on "Tools," then "Resident"
- In the "State of the resident protection, uncheck the Resident" Tea Timer ".
It systray disappear and will not be executed when Windows starts.

Re: Modification of an element of the register

For me, this does not seem so simple: I have 13 files containing the word "Spybot", including 5 with the same name "Spybot-Search and Destroy." I RINTING that there is duplication there. I should not expect me to do the household prior to the change that you advice? I am a little (or very) lost.

Re: Modification of an element of the register

Normally, the program will run for both the configuration for the analysis of the system is called "SpybotSD.exe". Unless you have adopted a different path during installation, it is in the directory "C: \ Program Files \ Spybot - Search & Destroy"

The latest version of the program is 1.6.0.30. In the (unlikely?) Where you would have multiple versions installed, it should remove the previous using the Add / Remove Programs in Control Panel, to retain only the last.
