Volume control gone

Hi,
Well this a very small thing but i don't know how to fix this?
The volume control panel icon is gone from the system tray and i cant seem to get it back.

Please help

Go to your control panel and open "sound and audio devices." There will be a box to tick on the page for display in the system tray or task bar.

Sometimes audio cards want more then just a driver. I had a similar problem, everything in device menager is ok, but there is no sound. I installed program called soundmax and it start working. Now i dont know if this is gonna be helpful in your case, but...

If you don't know the details of the sound card to be able to locate the correct drivers, download, install and run Aida32. It's a utility that will give you all sorts of information about your computer, including the make and model of the sound card so you can find the drivers for it.
