Identity Switch Canceled error in MS outlook

Hello, When I start Outlook I get an error Which says. "Identity Switch Canceled. The current identity could not be changed because one of the applications was unable to switch. Close any open dialog boxes in other applications before trying again. I have no idea what does that mean.

Go to Control Panel, Mail and then identities. Create a new identity and copy the settings from the other identity over. Then select "always use this identity" and choose your new identity.

Here is a solution

Go to regedit,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\IDENTITIES\
Last User ID
{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}

and a key like this below:
{082842C3-9154-4EC0-A83A-6CFF28F55636}

You copy the key value {082842C3-9154-4EC0-A83A-6CFF28F55636} and pasted it into the Last User ID.

Everything is done now restart outlook and you won't get that error

in other words:

1. create a string value as User ID
2. Enter its value as the name of Account ID (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\<Account ID>)
3. Close and Reopen Outlook. Issue should be resolved.
