Unable to open an envelope in Outlook Express 6

I am in XP SP3 and I have a problem with outlook express 6. When I click on a enveloppe.eml placed in a folder, I open my mail directly and not the envelope itself. When outlook express 6 is open, I can not even see that there is in this envelope.

I tried by right-clicking on the envelope, then open Outlook Express and I can read my message. But if I take another envelope to open it I have to start "open with" to read it even though I check "Always use this program."

Can you help me please?

Did you check the association of XP done in eml extension ...?

Go to tools ... Folder Options ...
File Types tab ...
eml and you choose, and you look at

Try to move a message in your inbox on your desk ...
You close OE, and you make a double click on your message ..
