Exclamation Error on importing project in MS-Project 2003

I have a problem with ONE project that I can't import in the Enterprise.
When I'm trying to import, I get this kind of message at the actual work synchronisation step :

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver] [SQL Server] RPC protocol flux TDS is incorrect... Parameter 83 ("") ...

I have done some research and it's probably a division by zero ... but where ? How can I find it ? Anybody has a clue ?

Thanks for your help

Re: Error on importing project in MS-Project 2003

User can import project from MS Project to the system after plug-in and portlet installation.

Please check whether you full fill the following requirements and these are the any project requirements that should meet:
  • Project should consist of three levels as a minimum.These three levels are:
    1. Project name;
    2. Elements of the second level converted in tasks;
    3. Other levels of tree-type structure, that present terminal tasks converted in subtasks of the second level tasks;
  • Availability of resources (users) that are specified in the project and exist in JIRA. The plug-in uses resources specified in the project to assign them to tasks in JIRA. It identifies resources according to logins. Otherwise, when importing the system will inform user there are no such resources in JIRA.
  • Only one resource may be assigned to one task or subtask, because of the feature of JIRA implementation: only one user is to be assigned to one JIRA issue.
  • Each task or subtask should have a resource to be assigned. In the case there are no resources assigned plug-in selects the default resource for the required task.
  • Task priority types are specified according to JIRA priority types (MS Project number corresponds to specified JIRA priority type):
    1. Blocker;
    2. Critical;
    3. Major;
    4. Minor;
    5. Trivial.
  • In the case any task does refer to any of the said priority types the system will display the task as "Trivial".

Re: Error on importing project in MS-Project 2003

Thanks for your answer. I've try to delete element of the second level in a copy and import my project again. After 3-4 try, it works.
By deduction, i've found the corrupted task, so I delete it and I've been able to import my project without problem.

Re: Error on importing project in MS-Project 2003

I'm trying to export from MS Project 2003 and import it into Jira 3.13. I've attempted the Jimex plugin, but it fails without giving me a good clue as to why. I was wondering if anyone is using the Jira MS Project Import plugin with Jira 3.13? It looks like it hasn't been updated for a long time and I wasn't sure if the library files would be compatible. The reply contained a direct copy of the steps in http://confluence.atlassian.com/disp...Import+plug-in, and this post is dated January 2009, so fingers crossed, it all works. I'd love some feed back or tips.

Re: Error on importing project in MS-Project 2003

Got Jimex to work for me. The issues seemed to be that:

1. The <NTAccount> tag was missing for <Resources>. Jira uses this tag to determine the Jira username.

2. Tasks had been assigned to multiple resources. Removing the additional <Assignments> got it to work.
