Cannot Install Bt Voyager 105 Usb Modem Drivers On Windows Vista

I have been totally annoyed with my Vista OS, trying to install my ADSL MODEM drivers. I've searched everywhere trying to find a solution, uninstalled, reinstalled , downloaded and installed again, but Vista won't have it. Turned of Firewall, anti-virus, Windows DEfender, plugged, unplugged cables - as per install instructions, but just can't get it to install.

Vista accepts a Basic PCI dial up modem driver, which, again I have, installed, unistalled, etc, etc. but really need the Broad Band speed!!

Anyone got any ideas??

Currently using a P4, 3.6 GHz, 2GB Memory, Foxconn /SiS 661FX MB.

Modem works fine on Windows XP Pro SP2 so it is not that modem is defective.

Which driver have you used and from which sites? Try to get the driver from this site and install it and see if it works?

Same problem tried to voyager driver cd into new vista lap top will not accept it?
I am really niffed about this whole new vista crap! i hope bill gates reads this himself. Whats the point in bringing out a whole new version of windows that is hardly compatible with anything? answers please…………… Oh yeah and the “wireless internet connection” whats that about i’v got more of a connection when i sit on the toilet! get it sorted, ur meant to be the cleverest people in the world. If not pay someone to do it!

I tested those drivers in reinstalling a Voyager Modem on XP Home for a client last night successfully. Of course, there's no mention of Vista, so you may have to pray for compatibility......

btw, the modem I was reinstalling did not look like the photo on the BT site - mine was all black, no grey panel, so there were obviously several slightly different models badged as 'Voyager USB ADSL Modem'. These modems were put out around 3-4 years ago, prior to the release of the Voyager 105.

NO USB MODEMS WILL WORK WITH VISTA = drivers issues and a major reason is why vista is pants atm.

go and buy a ADSL router
