Remember secure site passwords in firefox 3?

Hello. I am looking for a way to make firefox remember my logins for secure websites without using any extensions or software. In firefox 2 I was able to do that with the "remember password" bookmarklet, which doesn't work in version 3.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Is "remember passwords for sites" checked under the security tab in the options?

In firefox 2 I was able to do that with the "remember password" bookmarklet, which doesn't work in version 3.

Sure does work in Firefox 3, if you're using it correctly.

You are going to click on Tools - Options - Click on the Security Tab
and make sure that Remember passwords for Sites is checked.
