Compatibility Office 2007 and Office 2000 files

Since I installed Office 2007, my documents appear with the words "[Compatibility Mode]" next to the name: a priori this may not be embarrassing but what does it and how can we delete?

Hi,

The work in compatibility mode is not a problem, it's just a way to mention that you work with a document in 2000.

You can also do the opposite, use a compatibility pack for 2000 that will allow you to open files in 2007.

Help! Just purchased a laptop and also keeping the desktop. It has Office Professional2000. Do I purchased an update version of 2007 or a whole new version. If so, will it then read all my many, many documents and powerpoints done in Version 2000
