In photoshop how to create brushes, styles etc.

Hi guess I need a help in creating styles, brushes in photoshop . I am very much familiar with photoshop but I am not able to know from where to start is there any thing program I need to write for starting . please help me I would really appreciate the person in advance.

Hi I am a fashion designer in my work I usually use photoshop i might suggest to u to stick with 7.0 .In my opinion its the best, about the brushes and styles u can select a brush change its dither and opacities size, and then save as a new brush with 7.0 right from brushes window .

To create a Brush in PS follow the steps:-

1. Open or create an image - PSP, JPEG etc
   Make sure the layer you are working with is a layer not index or background (change mode from the menu bar drop-down: Image>Mode>RGB)
   
2. Edit>Define Brush Preset
3. Name the brush.
   
   And now do what ever you want todo.
