problem with Windows Media Player 11 and Internet

I can not read videos and video streaming with Windows Media Player 11 on the Internet, whereas before it worked very well. My computer crashed once and now every time I play a video on the net when I click on that error message that I mark the file can not be read because the protocol is not supported. ..
Otherwise it works very well when I am not on the net and its without any problem. I'm in vista so I think it is impossible to uninstall to reinstall .. someone would have a solution I tried restoring but it did not change the problem.

Have you tried to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and then reinstall?

I'm on Windows Vista I do not know how to uninstall it because it does not appear in the programs to remove as with XP

Then you can at least try a simple re-installation. You will find Windows Media Player for download here:

Apparently the online videos are WMV files types
I think the codec that the bed should be damaged or something like that
I can not find the Windows Media Player 11 in the programs to be deleted is marked against Windows Media 9 Series apparently it is associated with Windows Media Player 11. Is what I have to uninstall the encoder to reinstall and what codecs are in the encoder 9?

No, Windows Media Encoder 9 is a module of Windmws Media Player.

As against, I have myself some difficulties to play videos from some links.

You should try the Firefox browser to see if it works.
