Problems installing any type of Software or applications

I have a PC that runs on Win XP and for some time when I run the installation or setup.exe, any software or program is always the same install Setpoint (which is for my keyboard / mouse logitech), which is back!
I can not install new programs / games or updates. I have already emptied the TEMP directory without success.

First verify that the error exists only with Install Shield setups or any type of setup (Microsoft Installer too). To make sure, try installing Microsoft Office (any version) and see if the error occurs. If it does, then try installing some application that has an Install Shield setup. If the error occurs in both the cases then probably the source of problem is something different and is integral to Windows

Maybe your normal profile is not the Admin profile that install shield was wanting. You may be able to install the file by Right-Clicking the Setup File and selecting Run As. Then select the Administrator from the dropdown list and type in that password.
