Not able to install Windows Media Player

Hello, I recently formatted my computer when I installed Windows I put Windows Media Player 11.

But when I want to install the program checks to see if my Operating system is valid, and it passes the test. But just after he tells me to install Service Pack 2.

Yet, I am on SP2. I don't even reinstalled but the installer will not hear. How can I solve my problem?

you had probably installed the Windows XP sp3 ? in this case reinstalls the (Internet Explorer 7, WMP 11 ,...) are included in the pack.

Hi, Try to update your windows and then install wmp 11.this may help you in solving your problem

But is that the problems with SP3 are resolved ? Because I'm on an AMD and I'm not sure if this is a good idea.

The problem with SP3 concerned only some PC brand (HP) with AMD because the "master" they had used to install the PC also included a driver for Intel chipset.

Eventually, download the patch before installing SP3 . Update for Windows XP (KB953356)

Well that's fine. I am about SP3, and update it was called Update Rollup 2 and SP2. I am confused, sorry. But now I have WMP 11.
