VLC Media Player version 0.9.8 is not working

Following a Release from Latest Version Tricks, I downloaded the new version of VLC media player (0.9.8). After installed, when I want to use this software a message that says "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. It asks me to reinstall this version but it does not change anything. So I uninstalled version 0.9.8 and then reinstall the previous version 0.9.7. And everything works again. I suppose that version 0.9.8 is not the point. Has anybody experienced this problem ? Thanks

if the latest version does not work can not be yet, but the latest version of the km player is at the same point it works well, a bit like a vlc

I also encountered the same problem as you, I now expect 0.9.9 hoping that this will, for the moment I have nothing more after actually uninstalling 0.9.7.

I also installed the version (0.9.8) and it did not work, so I do System restoration, which gave me the version (0.9.7) that works with me very well!

What is curious is that when I ask "Vlc" to find the last one tells me that this is the last version!

If you look closely, the English version includes end the letter "a" as alpha, which means that the software is not completely stable and reliable.
