Problem Playing Video Files

Hello, I receive mail with video. When I open them, I click on the attachment icon simply orange triangle. And the file opens in Notepad. There are writings indecipherable. I am compelled to record videos in the office to see it. Can you help me please? Advance a huge thank you.

Right click on the file after its downloaded, choose"open with" then click "choose program..."

a list of programs should come up.

Find media player, or i recommend VLC player (a seperate download, but worth it IMHO)

There is a check box towards the bottom left that says

"always use this program to open this kind of file"

Check the box and click OK.

Now whenever you open that file extension (.avi, .mp4, whatever) it will use that program.

This works for any kind of file not just videos with a media player.

I am sure you will work it out.
