How to set a password to OpenOffice documents spreadsheets

    Hello,
    I have Open Office v3.
I want to set a password to open my document Calc (Spreadsheets).
To do this, I seek as indicated in using OpenOffice: Choose File - Save As and select the Save Password. Save the document.
Problem: This check box does not appear when I "save as".
Is it a bug? Am I the only one concerned?
Do you know how to set a password to documents OpenOffice spreadsheets?
In advance, thank you for your help.
Ps: I looked in the options found nothing ... (menu option and customize)

Re: How to set a password to documents OpenOffice spreadsheets

    I do various tests.
It shows that apparently Save As function with a password in OpenOffice v3 does not work with Vista. I tested with XP and Linux (Mandriva), it works, the choice password in the window "save as" appears.
There is, therefore, that under vista that this choice is not available. Is it a bug in Vista or OpenOffice ... I look for vista instead because I used the same file to install XP and Vista. In addition, I tried to install OpenOffice3 on another pc vista and the problem is the same ...
Has anyone been in the same situation as me? If so, how did you manage to resolve or at least work around the problem? In advance, thank you for your help.

Microsoft offers a free program called "Microsoft Private Folder" which creates a folder protected by password in Windows. I use it with Windows XP, but I do not know if it works with Vista, its development has apparently stopped before the release of Vista.

    thank you for your reply.

    Actually it works!

According to the software that you mentioned, OpenOffice should fix "the problem" for version 3.1. It is a good thing. (because the window vista is typical, I think, more "unfriendly".)
