Firefox help needed

so far fire fox is working for fine for me.. unfortunately yesterday when it try to update to next version, i shut down the system... from today morning onwards firefox is not working.. presently i am using IE.. i hate IE.. i have tried by uninstalling firefox and installed the new version 3.0.4 which i downloaded thro IE.. still it is showin icon in quick lanch bar .. when i click that it is not opening... guyz can u help to restore my firefox...?

remove all instances of firefox from ur hdd n registry....then try reinstalling firefox again....

now i have installed firefox of another version (3.0.1) it works now.. but still it is not connecting any web pages.. i have checked the network settings both in IE and Firefox... in IE it in Lansettings--> automatically detect the settings. here in firefox, Options-->Advanced--> network-->settings--> auto detect for this network..

IE is connecting to internet.. but not Firefox..

help me guyz...

really its much better and faster than firefox.

i have tried all the browsers,.. flock, chrome & avant . all have been installed, now it is not connecting to the internet...only my IE and opera browsers are connecting to the internet....i am using the same proxy settings as IE to flock, google chrome and avant.. but others ( flock, chrome & avant ) are not connecting to internet.. i donno why...?

guys can u help me in this issue...

BTW how to check whether firewall is blocking these browsers are not?

Start -> Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Exceptions (tab) -> see

I agree with Sneharaj and Abu. It sounds like a firewall permissions problem.
