question Outlook 2007 Preparing send/receive

I installed the Microsoft Office 2007 Trial. The mail program was working fine for a week. Now when I click on send/receive, nothing happens. There is a small icon at the bottom that says "preparing to send/receive". Also when hovering over mail icon at the bottom it says "synchronizing folders". Also, my deleted mail folder is set to "delete upon exiting". When I exit nothing happens. The mail is there when I open the program again.

A few questions. 1) Does anyone know how to fix this Outlook mail problem? 2) Can I uninstall the Office trial and then reinstall the Office trial? 3) If so, will my .pst files be saved when I uninstall? 4) How do I save them?

So many questions, so few answers.

Thanks

Re: Outlook 2007 Preparing send/receive

A Send/Receive interval is considered as synchronization.

If it continuously happens, set your automatic send/receive interval to more than 30 minutes or even longer.

If this doesn't helps, you can run the 'Office Diagnostics' (which is the 2007 version of 'Detect and Repair').

Re: Outlook 2007 Preparing send/receive

Hi , If the 2007 Office product runs in reduced functionality mode, you may be using an expired trial version of the 2007 Office product. In this expired state, many features of the product are unavailable until you convert to the full product.

Not sure if you already saw this or if it even applies to you but there is an update for the problem discussed on that page.

Re: Outlook 2007 Preparing send/receive

Thanks for the quick reply.

I set the auto send/receive to 30 minutes. Didn't help.
I've run Office Diagnostic several times. Nothing found

If you are uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2007, you can take the backup of .pst file and can restore them after you reinstall Office 2007. This guide will help you in this purpose, http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...030811033.aspx
