    Windows media player 11 problem in windows vista

    Hello
    I have a problem to play downloaded music on "new music" as well as direct reading fichiers.an error message appears at the opening of the song chosen "Windows Media is not installed properly. I contact support new and advises me to make a security update. I can not click "upgrade", despite the connections settings . Occasionally it works, I do not know why! I noticed that it was linked to nine licenses music that I can not renew. I use avast as anti-virus, but in the center of Norton security and always on and I can not deleted it ' appears nowhere! This service worked well before? last remark, for some time I have a lot of advertising pages on my intemperate assignment and not on others?

    Disable UAC. this will definitely help you out. which vista version you use ? Vista basic or premium ?

    hi, can you explain what is UAC ? and how to disable it ?. i am running windows visa basic.

    In Windows Vista, UAC (User Account Control or User Account Control) is a security system that you solicit warnings when an application requires elevated privileges, when you want to install software, access to an important function your PC, change a setting sensitive system ... etc. so Windows needs your permission to continue:

    Disabling UAC is different for owners of family versions basic or premium, but equally simple. Simply edit an entry in the registry. Before performing the operation, consider making a backup of the registry windows.

    Click the windows (former start button) and enter the word regedit in the search field and then confirm by pressing the [ENTER]:

    Navigate to the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ System and then double-click the line ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin to change the "Value data" value of 2 to 0:
