AUDACITY in stereo

Hello!

I have already several times various versions of Audacity highly installed to vinyl in the car to listen to CD. When recording (here is probably not the correct name, but you understand me) with line-in is then left a small window - because I make 16bit and then on to 44100Hz. But I find nothing to click to the "mono" to change. As an alternative, there is only mono, right channel or left channel. Can someone tell me what I've seen about?
My version is now installed Audacity 1.3 beta (Unicode).

ok, quite simply, you must in the preferences and there in "host" the two drop down menus correctly ... recording source = Line In and including 2 channels = stereo .... Have fun

Preferences when calling Audacity automatically appear in a Help menu also mentioned.But nowhere can I find.

In the opening window on top of the tab "Audio I / O". There you find Theodot's options.
