upgrade windows and graphics card

Hello all,

1) I am currently under xp home and it just me xp pro is it possible to switch from one to another without loss of programs or data and what the procedure would be

2) my motherboard Asus P5GD1 vm 915g can accept an Nvidia graphics card 9800. If so, should change my diet (currently 350w).

So to point 1:
the only event of migration is impossible:
1_ a version 32bits to a 64-bit (XP or Vista)
2_ and any change in language
3_ evolution of a bone to bone station server (2000 to 2000 pro server)

for the second option :
the graphics card has no problem, it is compatible with your motherboard. As against, which may be just a little, is actually your food ... I advise you to take a slightly more powerful ..

I suggest you to create a backup of your computer files, and you solved your problem, as for your card, change it, it's old.
